I find that people frequently ask me how to pack a carry on, what to bring, and how to fit the most in a small suit case! Previously, I wrote a blog post about what to pack for a spring vacation (which you should definitely check out) where I gave you lots of tips, outfit inspiration, and what to pack. Coming soon, a blog post about what to pack for a summer vacation! In the meantime, let give me you one of my favorite travel hacks! You may or may not know that in your carry on suitcase you can BYOB (Bring your own booze)!!! Small travel size bottles of liquor are perfectly acceptable to come with you on a plane! Traveling just got a whole lot better, right?!
When bringing liquids in a carry-on suitcase here are the TSA guidelines straight from their website: (http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/3-1-1-liquids-rule)
3-1-1 for carry-ons. Liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less per container; must be in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. The bag limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring.
Now I usually find that if you bring 2 bags they’re not going to make you remove one of the bags. However, If I do travel to one location for X amount of days I might bring one checked bag and one carry on and check all my liquids in the checked luggage and bring my alcohol in the carry-on! They also come n handy for pregaming before a night out if you don’t want to spend an arm and leg at the bar.
Stay tuned for more tips and tricks!
