Happy Memorial Day weekend! Let’s kick off the summer season the right way with these three amazing recipes by chef Lee Knoeppel. Chef Lee Knoeppel grew up in the suburbs of New York City with a passion for cooking. He graduated from ICE: The Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan in 2009, and was classically trained in French Cuisine. After successful stints in restaurants in NYC and the Hamptons, including Tom Colicchio’s CraftBar—as well as culinary production work on various Food Network shows—Lee became executive chef at the young age of 24 at the Pridwin Hotel on Shelter Island, NY. Since then, Lee has continued working for the Food Network, and competed as a finalist on ABC’s hit show The Taste with Anthony Bourdain, and has also been seen on Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay. Lee has started his own compound butter company called Spread Love NYC and at age 30. You can find him whipping up delicious dishes all over NYC and on Instagram @leeknoeppel.
