Happy  Memorial Day weekend! Let’s kick off the summer season the right way with these three amazing recipes by chef Lee Knoeppel. Chef Lee Knoeppel grew up in the suburbs of New York City with a passion for cooking.  He graduated from ICE: The Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan in 2009, and was classically trained in French Cuisine.  After successful stints in restaurants in NYC and the Hamptons, including Tom Colicchio’s CraftBar, as well as culinary production work on various Food Network shows, Lee became executive chef at the young age of 24 at the Pridwin Hotel on Shelter Island, NY.  Since then, Lee has continued working for the Food Network, and competed as a finalist on ABC’s hit show The Taste with Anthony Bourdain, and has also been seen on Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay.  Lee has started his own compound butter company called Spread Love NYC and at age 30. Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes

Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes

Mother’s Day is almost here! Get ready to wow mom with these easy to make Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes that are guaranteed to make you the favorite in the family. You can read all about them in this article I wrote for CBS, here. I chose flavors influenced by our neighbors south of the border. These ingredients are bold and highlight classic brunch dishes that we’ve all grown to know and love. Of course every beautiful brunch meal is highlighted even further by a beautiful table scape. Use succulents, catctuses, bright colors, and graphic patterns to set the table. Succulents and cactus are cheap and low maintence only needing to be watered once every few motnhs! I used an aloe vera plant in my shoot. However, no one will be able to keep their eyes off your delicious food! Of course, you can also check out this great Mother’s Day gift guide I wrote about, here, as well.
